In the Sierra Nevada it is possible to enjoy the pistes at day and at night! The Rio Piste is completely illuminated at night, allowing skiers to jet down the slope at night; something well worth experiencing!

The Sierra Nevada ski station has been one of the first in Spain to introduce this fantastic possibility.

The Rio piste is perfectly prepared for this activity, allowing you to ski under the stars safely and securely.

There is no fixed timetable, giving that it depends on the quality of light, but in general we can say that you can expect to be able to ski between 7.30pm until 9.30pm. The piste isnt open every day, therefore it comes recommended to check beforehand in the ticket offices, where you can also buy your night-skiing pass, as the normal pass does not grant you access to night-skiing.
