This park is located within the municipal area of Castil and covers 12,215 hectares of mainly mountainous land.

Here you will find various species of oak, including gall oaks in the more humid areas. In the higher altitudes you will find conifers, such as larch pine.

It is home to some of the more exotic birds of prey, like the enormous tawny vulture. Otters, wild boar, mountain goats and wild mountain cats can also be found here.

Popular activities here include: bird watching, hiking, mountain biking and Speleology (caving). Botanical excursions are becoming increasingly more popular.
